The scenery day
The South Tour has more upsell inside it than any other day on the island — most of it sitting in the Valley of Colours.
Entrance to the Valley of 23 Coloured Earth is included in the tour. Around forty optional activities are not.
- Valley of 23 Coloured Earth — entrance included. Around forty optional activities sit inside it.
- Trou aux Cerfs — a dormant volcanic crater at Curepipe with wide views over the island.
- Grand Bassin / Ganga Talao — a sacred crater lake with roughly fifty temples around it and a 108-foot Shiva statue. For Indian guests this is often the emotional high point of the trip; give it proper time in the itinerary rather than treating it as a photo stop.
- Plaine Champagne — the drive up through the highlands, with viewpoints on the way.
- Souvenir shopping at Floréal — notably cheaper than Caudan. Souvenirs from roughly MUR 80 to 500.
