Château de Labourdonnais
A restored colonial mansion showing how the island’s governors and planters lived. On-site rum distillery, gardens, tasting, and a good restaurant where guests can sit outside. Excellent for repeat visitors and for anyone with a cultural or culinary interest.
Rhumerie de Chamarel
A working distillery in the south producing rum from the island’s own sugarcane, with tastings and a restaurant. Pairs naturally with a private South Tour and with 7 Coloured Earth, which sits in the same area.
Odysseo Oceanarium
The largest oceanarium in Mauritius, home to a wide range of marine species. A reliable half-day for families, for a rainy afternoon, and for repeat visitors who have done the standard tours.
La Vanille — crocodile & nature park
In the south. Crocodiles, giant tortoises and a large insect collection. Popular with families and easy to combine with a South Tour.
The water park is currently closed for permit reasons. It appears in older collateral and guests may find it online. Confirm status with supply before it goes anywhere near an itinerary.
