In the air

Helicopter, seaplane and skydiving — including the seaplane detail that ruins honeymoons.

Helicopter ride

Runs daily, based in the north. Flies as a group, which makes it the right recommendation for couples and families who want to share the experience. Slots move quickly — put the request in as early as possible rather than the day before.

Seaplane

Based in the west. Three operators fly seaplanes in Mauritius, but only one runs the flight over the “underwater waterfall” illusion at Le Morne — which is the specific flight guests have seen online. The other two are cheaper and fly different routes.

The honeymoon problem nobody mentions

The seaplane takes one passenger at a time. A couple does not fly together — one goes, then the other. For a honeymoon that is often exactly the wrong experience. Say it before they book, and offer the helicopter as the together-in-one-aircraft alternative.

When the guest quotes the operator’s website price

Guests research well and will compare against a direct booking page. If our price does not stack up, do not improvise a justification on the call — flag it to supply so the rate can be checked. Selling on trust means the number has to be defensible.

Skydiving

Tandem skydiving over the lagoon. A strong upsell for young groups and adventure travellers, and one of the few activities in Mauritius that no competitor destination in the region does better.
