Casela Nature Parks

The most visited attraction on the island, and our biggest missed upsell.

Big cats, zip lines and the luge at Casela

The most visited attraction in Mauritius

A large nature and adventure park in the west, set in sugarcane fields with the Rempart mountain behind it — and the single biggest missed upsell in our current Mauritius selling.

Wildlife

  • Safari through the park — rhinos, ostriches, impalas, zebras, giraffes and gazelles, not caged
  • Big cat feeding · giraffe feeding
  • Interaction with lions and cheetahs — guests enter the enclosure with trainers
  • Petting farm and mini golf for children

Adventure

  • Zip lining · quad biking · canyoning
  • Nepalese bridge — shorter than the one at Valley of Colours
  • Roller coaster / luge — included in the entrance, subject to operation
  • Eco Rider electric safari
Eco Rider — the honeymoon upsell nobody is selling

An electric quad-style safari vehicle. Because it is silent, the animals do not scatter — they come closer than they do to a standard safari truck. It is a genuinely distinctive experience and honeymoon couples come back raving about it. Subject to availability, so book it in advance rather than leaving it to the gate.

Answering “is it like a real safari?”

Be straight: the safari animals are harmless species roaming freely in a park, not a wild reserve — sightings are effectively guaranteed, which is the opposite of a national park in India where guests may see nothing. The big cats are enclosed. The lions were born and trained in Mauritius, are not sedated, and interactions run under strict trainer protocol with no recorded incidents.

We currently sell the entrance ticket and stop

Casela’s activities are almost all commissionable and most guests would buy them if offered. Selling entrance only leaves margin at the gate. Ask supply for the Casela activity rate sheet and quote entrance plus a named experience.
